RPNT Services

RPNT Acute Services, Inc. is an independent acute program and currently contracts to hospitals nationally with our main area of concentration in North and Central Texas. We provide inpatient hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, peritoneal dialysis and therapeutic plasma exchange for chronic and acute renal patients and other conditions as considered appropriate by nephrologists.

A Nephrologist with facility privileges will order treatments where services are offered. The Nephrologist's orders will be completed per the contracted facility's policy and procedure.

Treatments are provided to adult patients by a qualified registered nurse at a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio for patients with:

  • Chronic renal failure who are admitted to the contracted facility for medical evaluation and/or initiation of HD, CRRT, TPE and/or PD.
  • Critical illnesses which require acute/maintenance HD, TPE and/or PD.
  • Other conditions as considered appropriate by the Nephrologist.

For each contracted facility served, the Hemodialysis Unit will be located in a designated area, which shall be in close proximity to a nursing station, as is possible. A portable treatment may be provided when necessary, for acuity. RPNT Acute Services, Inc. provides staff, equipment, and dialysis related supplies. The contracted facility provides routine patient care supplies and transportation of patient to and from the Hemodialysis Unit.

RPNT and its staff shall operate and furnish all services in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to licensure and any other relevant health and safety requirements, i.e., FDA, HIPAA, OSHA.

Comprehensive patient care shall be given to all patients without discrimination. The patient population served by RPNT consists of the adult and geriatric patient populations.

On call staff shall be available for dialysis-related emergencies 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
